Muscat de Noel – a growing “nouveau” wine – celebrates its 20th anniversary

Roussillon’s own “nouveau”, Fortified Sweet Wine Muscat de Noel is the first wine made each year in the Muscat de Rivesaltes appellation. Released every year for the last 20 years on the third Thursday of November, it marks the arrival of the new vintage, and is perfectly timed to be enjoyed during year-end holiday celebrations. In 2017, 100 different producers made a total of 530,000 bottles of Muscat de Noel (compared to 20,000 bottles 20 years ago).
